I love my body, it has so much potential to do, to build, grow & change plus many morethings. Through Rolfing & Yoga teaching I like to help people love their body too. Always I’m seeking what’s good what’s really working in anybodies body, & what can I help to work better. So often we will focus on the negative, “I hate my feet” instead of loving our feet for supporting & moving us everyday. Sometimes this is difficult pain, will make it hard to connect with your body & also the wider world around you.
My work is very much a luxury; we can all live our lives without relishing our bodies (many people do). Often we have been encouraged to not listen to our bodies; children love to fidget but our schools encourage them to sit still. We are taught maths but not how to walk run or move with ease & efficiency. Some people figure this out on their own, they are the dancers, the acrobats, the sportsmen & women. For others learning about walking and allowing it to change can be amazing.
My motivation as a Rolfer is to sharewhat I know with people. Some of this is knowledge is the conventional brain knowledge; more often it’s about helping someone to feel something in their body. Helping people generate this body intelligence is very rewarding & I’m grateful that my work is also my passion.
